Why solopreneurs stall after the idea
·1 min read
You had the idea. You wrote it in Notion. You thought about it in the shower. Six months later, nothing exists.
The real bottleneck
It's not motivation. It's not skill. It's not time. It's the absence of a forcing function between each step.
Without structure, every decision is open-ended. "Should I validate first? Who do I interview? What do I build?" Every open question is an invitation to go back to research mode.
What a forcing function looks like
A phase has three things:
- A single deliverable — one document, one artifact
- A clear entry — what from the last phase unlocks it
- A clear exit — what signals it's done
With forcing functions, you stop debating and start producing.
